Read it again. In the third paragraph of the hearing it clearly says their immediate plan is to burn the entire company to the ground. Literally set it ablaze. That way they don't have to ever worry about any of it ever again. Fire department comes in and takes care of the mess and insurance covers their costs.

I really think that's what they'll do. Makes sense and it's in line with what you're suggesting.
