Well hey now - "unethical to continue" is way different than meeting a high bar for efficacy IMO - if that's true, there was no "if PE RRR is XX% you can halt at 80% IA" rule in place.

As you quoted "there were two primary criteria" ... one of them was "if PE RRR is XX% you can halt at 80% IA".

I see "unethical to continue" as none of the non. stat. significant SE might have proven successful in case of continuation. (mean: the non ss SEs won't be ss later, despite more events and / or higher RRR)
