First feeble attempt at direct downloading/decoding images from NOAA satellites.

This was recorded just now, as NOAA-18 satellite passed over.

using $9 Software-defined-radio (SDR) dongle. indoors, without the proper antenna. need to build a QFH (Quadrifilar Helix) or "double cross" antenna.

using free WXtoImg decoding program.

Looks terrible, but at least a small band of clouds is visible.

Need an outdoor proper antenna. Depends on how ambitious I am at building one.
