Well, Efficeon it is and like it or not, the important message is 50% faster than Crusoe, 8 Instructions per clock cycle and Secure. Lets hope the excitement and message overwhelm the name, when delivered with dynamism. Dave Ditzel speaks in September. Playing with words is fun. So I asked my fourteen year old son, who is, like all kids, easily hooked and buys into marketing in a big way. He said, "mummy, Crusoe sounds cool, like Cruising, nice and easy". Told that the new name was Efficeon, he said "it sounds like efficient but its boring" (so, that worked!) My son says it has to have a certain vah vah voom! That je ne sais crois, which is everything, in this case, Code Morphing. However, asked to come up with a brand name......Morpheon? Bird X

Giggles...just playing with ideas. Interesting though that the power tool got through. The other option is that you go for something so off the wall, that at least people talk about it, with humour or shock or plain What?

The marketing company could have said:

Ok, let's launch 'ED' ???

The logo would be fantastic. The circle 'c', which looks like an 'e', on the Crusoe logo, followed by one letter 'D'.
