I am not arguing any naked short issue. I am just saying that Knight is reporting legitimate short trades that they have yet to cover. They certainly would report FTDs as an asset in a public financial disclosure- that would be surreal.
does anyone know why the SEC protects these naked short sellers? It makes absolutely no sense. just put them in jail. lock 'em up for cheating.
it could bring the system down in the end and then who wins? nobody. lock 'em up. have them pay the people what their shares are worth and then take the fake shares out of the market. it'd be a massive clean up with a massive bill, but the criminals should pay it with their stolen loot.
it seems so clear to me. obviously, that's why I'm not running the show.
