Well that's what SNAP is trying to spin in the news feeds... that they're the next FB killer... and it's obvious that their platform isn't positioned to take on FB directly.
What SNAP doesn't want is to be compared to TWTR because armchair investors will learn how similar their platforms and business models are while TWTR has more users, revenue and gas in the tank at a much lower pps.
SNAP's IPO pps is based on pure speculation of what it could be but will inevitably reflect what it actually is... a disaster.
