assets are not meaningful without looking at liabilities

a company with 30T of assets and 35T of liabilities will file for CH11 or 7

$10,653,531,299,397.56

Isn't this way more assets than previously thought for Fannie Mae?

This is one of the reasons the warrants were set, by design, at a 79.9% rate. The government, at 80%, would have been forced to add this amount to the already swollen deficit which nears $20,000,000,000,000. When one considers what Freddie Mac might have in assets, the number then become astronomical!

I had to check the math (LOL!) but you are also correct. At approximately $10 Trillion in assets and approximately 1 Billion outstanding shares, Fannie Mae holds approximately $10,000 in assets per share outstanding. Geeeeezzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!

You all need to read the notes to these filings.

FNMA has approx $3.2T in assets. Read the 10Q/10K.

More importantly, you need to look at net assets (sometimes called equity). That's the value accruing to you the shareholder.

Sheesh - this is basic stuff everyone.
