Sorry to keep you waiting . . . that bubblegum smacking paralegal probably had the letter all ready to send to FINRA, when Hofmeister told her - 'ahh nah, the shares are already cancelled, so don't worry about it' - so she probably shredded the letter, just to keep things tidy. And to save a stamp.
