I agree it is not on a schedule. The label can also serve as a warning to prevent overdose within certain period of time.

So if you just had a fatty meal and took your great ER opiod.You said crap that didn't work and the pain is unbearable, but I still have 4 hrs until next pill or I will overdose and die. What's your solution then?
Maybe wait 4 hrs in horrible pain?
