It is undignified and demonstrates a deeply ingrained psychological insecurity about one's place in the world. It seems very common here, and other forums, so I suspect it is an earmark of psychologically diseased individuals to attempt to make others wallow in their own self-pity and internal torment. Luckily these genetic misfits usually plunder all that they have in the world and end up destitute and herpes-riddled, ever wandering the earth in search of new victims to suck the zeal and zest of life from...an emotional vampire. Financial forums are a literal Garden of Eden for these sub-humans as they have a virtual smorgasbord of victims exuding hope and positive vibes to prey upon as well as numerous soul sucking like-minded brethren to caravan, like hygienically-challenged gypsies, from stock board to stock board in an attempt to not sell poorly smelted pig-iron cooking ware but rather their petulant negative venom in order to feel better about their insipid and flaccid lives. But deep down they know their life is unremarkable, poorly navigated, and smells of the same fetid tang as the syphilitic drippings upon an unkempt merkin worn by a 17th century English fishmonger.

Or, misery loves company.
