What I did a couple of years ago sold all my shares for a tax loss.
Which earned me a nice refund. Repurchased on the way down from around $3, even bought at .94 and more on the way up, so not doing bad. 1.82 avg.

I believe $12 is around the highest I paid for Amarin. I never buy large lots - ~1000-2000 shares when I make a purchases. I reached my target for AMRN, now puchasing SNE/NNVC.
