On this point I agree. They don't have to fan out nationwide. Just fan out in some of the western states at first. A knowledgeable, aggressive (not rude, but go-getters) sales force (2 people) with connections, can make a big difference as long as they have the support from the company. The products have to be ready for distribution. Make deals you can't keep, and you can forget it. Yes, a good, small sales force could do wonders. And they need multiple products. Right now, just paying them is a problem.
Kim needs to establish a relationship with the big stores. He needs to meet with the buyers from all the big outlets. Just a sit down introduction. Find out what the rules and qualifications are for putting their products into stores. What products are they looking for? etc. You have to meet these people. And you have to stay in contact with them. Establish a relationship.
