ggwpq a little FYI for U

About 2/3rds of those in R-IT will have stents .
If you have been anywhere the events that lead up to and require stents ....you get religion real fast regarding whatever dose of Statin your Cardiologist wants you on.

Theres nothing like the Interventionist Cardiologist leaning over you laid out on the table in the Cath Lab, about to start a Cardiac Cath ,to determine if you need stents ...and sayin gently

" Well if we can't fix this we will be sending you down for surgery "

Believe me ...at that pt you will take whatever dose Statin they tell U to.
Just my experience ...be interested in what your experience was like in the Cath Lab.

Requirement for R-IT patients was stable LDL-C from statin therapy, forget the max level allowed (100 or so?) - point being that all patients have been taking statins long before they enrolled, so I'd expect next to none to drop out solely because of statin side effects.
