My understanding about Reverse split is....
A reverse stock split just reduces the number of shares; if the price was $1 the day before the split then the 10000 shares would be worth $10,000.00 and when the 1:100 reverse split occurs the per shares value would be $100 per share and you would just have 100 shares instead of 10,000 but the total position would still be valued at $10,000
So, if you bought 10000 shares @ $2 before, after the r/s occurred, your share would be 100 shares @ $100 so the total value is $10000. In the same position as red.

Even though the stock's share amount decreased, the total value of the position stays the same.
