CP - Blinding procedures vary as there is no one sigle way to run a double blind trial. I agree JB knew and understood the Phase II procedures. She just contends she could and tried to improve them. I can understand why she didn't tell anyone what she did, even before leaving, and I can also understand why people like her supervisor didn't have an idea why she would have done it.
If JB was not a lone wolf, and was in fact part of something bigger to harm/ruin/delay BAVI via the trial, why would she even question the blinding procedures etc. at the kickoff meeting as everyone has acknowledged? Talk about throwing up a flag that maybe you aren't qualified or at least it raises suspicion.
If you're planning on doing something nefarious, you wouldn't draw attention to yourself like that and risk being moved off the project.
