Westergaard even offered a 5,000$ reward for the identity of negative posters. Think about this one for a second. To get the information legally would only cost a few hundred bucks. Why offer $5,000? Because he never paid anyone. I tried to turn myself in and he wouldn't give me the money either. I was posting nonanonymously.
Promoters like to try and bash honest posters off the boards with death threats, spamming their email boxes if known, calling their house, threatening their online friends, delivering pizza to their house at midnight, sexual harassment, harassment, trying to ruin their business if their identities are known and a host of other nasty little tricks. The lawsuit threat is just one of them.
