It's nice that one of the people who was instrumental in creating so many victims of this scam took a bit of the shaft himself. Too bad he's not completely broke and in prison.
But I guess since he's so clueless there is a degree of innocence, perhaps. Sometimes ignorance and stupidity are a good thing, I guess.
