The fact that Saleen chose a dealer in Naples Florida to sell multiple cars indicates the following:

1) Saleen did not have any orders to sell the cars to dealers in
California.

2) Saleen did not have any orders to sell the cars to FORD
dealerships

3) Saleen discounted the cars to sell more than one and to entice
the Naples dealership to take delivery now (urgent). Saleen
needed the cash and could not negotiate a decent price for
them or find a local dealer to take them.

4) Saleen sold the cars to Naples cheap so that the dealership
could sell a used car.

5) Saleen was willing to pay the freight ($1,500 per vehicle) to
make the deal.

6) Saleen is panicking now because besides all their other
problems people want to buy the 2015 Mustang not the 2014.
This happens every time there is a significant model change.
Also, Saleen has to re-mfg all their body kits to the new
design which will cost hundereds of thousands of dollars they
do not have.

7) When Steve pays himself over $320K per year, there is nothing
left to pay his employees. They will not be getting raises.
They have to be wondering if their payroll checks are going to
bounce.

8) You are right about the Yellow Saleen that sold for $114K in
Naples Fl, but the circumstances indicate that the Naples FL
dealership made a really nice profit on that car and Saleen
made very little if any profit. Desperate decision making
rarely leads to the best result and Saleen is making desperate
decisions to get cash any way they can.

9) You can push the American branding all you want but people
still buy based on price and perceived value.
