Good observation Rick, but I disagree on its application to yesterday.
The reason is that, when we had "peaks" above 5.00 and again above 6.00, we indeed had a consolidation where it declined as you said.
However, the previous days peak, was well off 5 or 6 dollars. "Peaking lower" is not the trend, instead, this is "peaking higher" with consistently higher highs and higher lows over the past 18 months or so.
Since 4.71 or so is not a higher peak, then we would not expect to see a retracement unless the whole nine yards has reversed. I dont see that, so I do not anticipate your declines UNLESS we see similar widespread market declines (or very bad news for fannie).
