#150669 RE: blackcat #150666

I turned it off after the HR. HR's happen to closers I know but this was predictable.
I'm sure he is probably a great person but he does not have a closer mentality.

Like I stated when we traded for him it was a mistake trade once again by our GM.

The stats were a small sample size based on luck not a closer mentality of the years the trade was based on.

Part of a closer skill set is you throw strikes keeping the count in your favor. He not only fails at that he has no control.

Our manager once again played by the book instead of letting the starter FINISH the job he set out to do.

That book should be based as a guide not an absolute.

When your starter is kicking butt let him loose the game if it's going to be lost. He EARNED that right!

If he walks the first batter in the 9th fine yank his butt if you must or trust him like the last 8 innings and see if he can get a DP but don't hand the ball to one who is far away from having the mentality of a closer.

That is a recipie for disaster. You can't pitch on luck forvever before it catches up to you.

One must look beyond the stats when one makes a trade.
Once again our GM FAILED to do so!
