The contributing attorneys to this board are truely exceptional. I was no condemning all attorneys, but now that you bring it up - show me one attorney who will work for an hourly rate that is anywhere near what an average Joe makes. How can a workers earning $10 - $15 per hour afford a $250/hour attorney? The legal system iscloser to this fellow. Not poor enough for pro bono, not walthy enough to afford legal services.

Attorneys who take civil damage cases based upon 1/3 of award (plus expenses mind you) are not any better as they frequently end up with most of the award. As I said, the money doesn't go to the person who suffered but to they who control the system.

I also don't think that Ghors comments that most legislators are not lawyers is factual. I just don't have the energy to gather the statistics.
