Well, It looks like ...

Adaptive Medias, Inc. Completes Acquisition of Ember, a Real-Time Bidding Platform Provider

[excerpt]

"'Ember has been focused in video, but we've already begun expanding the platform into mobile, and we'll have capabilities in online display in the first quarter of 2014," Shareef said. "We believe that owning an RTB platform that works across video, mobile and display is a recipe for exponential growth in 2014 and beyond.'"

"'We can now take our mobile business to the next level," said Meghan O'Holleran, Vice President of Mobile at Adaptive Media. one down, and one to go !! [I believe the above relates to Display only] ...

So, I assume that next up would be, Mobile Video !!

The Rise of Video Apps

[excerpts]

"This summer, OneScreen partnered with The Young Turks (TYT) Network to develop a Roku app. By expanding its presence to Roku, TYT Network has been able to provide more opportunities for fans to enjoy and watch its shows while away from their computers. (TYT Network generates over 50 million views per month through its various YouTube channels.) TYT Network isn't alone in putting its videos easily within reach of audiences and the devices they're using – just look at other companies who have taken advantage of video apps: Vine, ESPN, and HBO GO."

OneScreen has experience in developing apps for multiple platforms, and works with clients on conceptualization, design, development, QA, and app launch and also offers ongoing support so brands can focus on growing their audiences. OneScreen works as an all-in-one partner, enabling brands to control their entire digital video presence using its system, from managing video content library, to building engaging video players and applications, to generating revenue through advertising. If you’re a brand that is ready to take the next step in video, just know that your audiences are waiting to watch, and OneScreen is waiting to help."

Adaptive Medias Announces Licensing Agreement With OneScreen

[excerpts]

"The two Irvine, California-based companies previously announced a Letter of Intent to enter a joint venture or other similar transaction, and are in active discussions around a potential business combination. In this agreement, Adaptive Media will receive a majority of OneScreen's net revenues from December 2013 through March 2014. Additionally, Adaptive's real-time bidding ("RTB") platform, Ember, will now power all of the video ad-serving requirements for OneScreen."

Case Study: "The Young Turks" Expands Beyond YouTube, to Roku and Beyond

[excerpts]

"One of the challenges of moving beyond YouTube is that TYT needed a more robust content management and monetization solution, and so it has turned to OneScreen. Atul Patel, OneScreen's founder and CEO, told me that OneScreen has replicated TYT's entire library for use on Roku, which will also support the iOS and Android apps that OneScreen is building. In Roku, ad serving is also available, though ads have not yet been placed."

In addition to all of the above, I found it rather interesting that Adaptive published an Industry Guide entitled, "Launching Your Roku Presence" on 10-3-13 ...

http://adaptivem.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Roku.pdf

and on the same day OneScreen published an Industry Guide with the exact same title and the exact same Table of Contents ... everything was exactly the same as the one published by Adaptive with one exception; OneScreen had its own name on it ...

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:geWb-cdesdgJ:company.onescreen.com/solutions-services/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

For some reason the pdf guide can no longer be downloaded, but it does go to show that Adaptive and OneScreen have been working together for quite some time before the LOI between the two was publicly announced ... hmmmmmmm
