No, MMs are called Market Makers for a reason, there isn’t a market below .0001. They do not make a market for shares below .0001. Your broker on the other hand, if you call them to rid your account of such WORTHLESS SECURITIES (that is what they are called when they become untradeable), due to NO BID here, they will purchase the shares from you for $1. That broker makes a few phone calls to the certain brokers that will allow purchases below .0001. Your broker then sells those shares to whomever pays the highest price. You get $1 and they potentially make a couple of hundred in the deal depending on the number of shares and price.

The MMs (Broker Dealer)only role in such a transaction is simply reporting to FINRA the volume of the transaction. The brokers handle the whole thing similar to a Grey Sheet Market, since there isn’t a market under .0001.
