The JPM settlement deal is for $13billion with a B
The $515.4million with a M is the settlement for the 10 cases that the FDIC settled with JPM.
The FDIC clearly made it known in the settlement agreement that it DID NOT cover the 17RMBSs that JPM sold to UWBKQ. And that they are going to pursue that issue.
In the letter to Sacks-- My take is that the FDIC is NOT going to pursue ANY non-JPM defendants in its pursuit. AKA any Officers and directors of UWBKQ.
I wonder what The FDIC or The Depart.of Justice, is going to do with the $12.5 billion from the rest of the suet.
