I find the last sentence curious about RXPC receiving at LEAST $3,000,000 of equity funding by December 2014 as a possible scenario involving his payment. In plain English, as soon as he helps sell the company, the sooner he gets all of his money.

Its evident he was brought aboard solely to facilitate the sale of RXPC as soon as possible. The question at this point is to who?
