sorry to bother you! ,my worst fear came through ,being audited for tax year 2011! sent IRS the 8K and copy of http://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/bankrupt.htm ,IRS says its not sufficient,heres what they says!

"the information we have received was not sufficient for us to change our determination. within 3 to 4 weeks of this notice you will be receiving a statuary notice of deficiency.
if you don't agree with the income reported to us by the payer(s) listed below,please ask the payer(s) for a corrected income statement or written verification of the correct amount of income paid to you for the tax period shown above. once we receive a corrected statement or written verification from the payer, we'll correct our proposed change.

The law requires us to charge interest on unpaid tax from the due date of the return to the date you pay the tax in full. the law does'nt allow us to reduce or eliminate interest based on reasonable cause. we've enclosed notice 746 ,which gives more detail on our interest charges.
if you don't agree with our proposed changes ,please write to us and tell us why. if you agree with our proposed changes ,please sign the "consent to tax increase" at the end of this letter. etc."

i am writing to E trade ,but not holding my breath! ,they probably send me a canned response ,like to contact the company, but have no contact information ,any suggestion will be most appreciated!
