PPP almost certain to have been run in the lab:

the first quote does not IMHO necessarily support your contention: they could have been "getting indications from the field" of a silkworm farm they were about to move into.

The "in real world conditions" could apear to indicate that they have been raising the silkworms somewhere other than the lab. OTOH they might have simulated "real world conditions" in the lab as part of the process. This kind of simulation is done in labs all the time so it is a very realistic possibility and IMHO more likely because in a lab they could more readily monitor what was going on. You want the conditions to be realistic but you also want to be able to monitor very closely exactly what effects they are having on the worms. So while the "in real world conditions APPEARS to support your hypothosis it does not really. NOTE that he did NOT say "in the real world" (which would have clearly indicated "not in the lab". But "in real world CONDITIONS" does not have the same certainty.

They have to have been receiving mulberry leaves from somewhere for their lab production and would just have used the same source for the PPP if that was done in their labs. And if they were moving into a silkworm facility they would be planning on using the local supply of mulberry leaves instead of whatever they were using in the labs. They key point there is that bit of evidence (the concern about the weather's effects on the mulberry supply) is actually not evidence at all because it would be exactly the same whether they were already in the silkworm farm or about to move there. Anything that would be the same in either case is utterly useless as evidence for distinguishing between the two.

Admittedly there is no certain evidence either way. But given the standard practice of simulating "real world conditions" in the lab (where the plants/animals/whatever can be far better monitored AND the "real world conditions" restricted to exclude highly unusual real world conditions IMHO the PPP was almost certainly done in the lab space (which someone pointed out long ago is designed to be expandable as most such support facilities are- pretty standard at research parks and university facilities these days)).

IMHO a conclusion that KBLB is already in a silkworm farm would be totally unwarranted and unsupported by any evidence. It is not sufficient that something be consistent with your hypothesis to count as evidence. It must also be INconsistent with the negation of your hypothesis as well. Otherwise it is no evidence at all. Exactly the same issue applies to both your quotes.

You are free to assume but there is no evidence to support it (or if there is, no one has yet presented it)
