So as I figure now, there is no data to see the open short positions after the close on a daily basis ?

And also, the daily short data on that site I posted vs the daily long data - this is what I am understanding - Please correct me if I am wrong:

The short volume represents the shares that were shorted. The long data represents the shares that were bought. If they were covered, does it show anywhere ? Or is it included in the long volume ? Also, the long volume, what if those shares were sold, will it show up in the short volume ? That would essentially complete the cycle and that short vs long data would just be sells vs buys respectively.
