I've owned OXF for years, chiefly because of high dividend,
excellent management, and the relatively stable model of
strip mining cheap steam coal and barge it downriver to
scrubber equipped power plants that have contracted price
and quantity required a year in advance. Largely due to
pressure from the climate warming fear-mongers on the EPA
and promises by Obama to destroy coal, this has gone to
hell. In this price range, and with a dividend, this stock
could be flipped by those who were not content to just get
in at a price where the divi alone was reason to hold it as
a long term investment. Now I don"t know. I think it shot
up on the finance news, timed to counter the effects of the
speech the great job destroyer just gave. I'm surprised, I
considered selling out yesterday, thinking we'd be at a
dollar right now.
