Without accurate information from the company any guess is as accurate or inaccurate as others. My guess that it could be either Ericy or Nokia that is holding up 3g licences. Both companies have large infringment provisions. Prior to the Ericy settlement it would appear that Ericy had $800 in provisions, it will be interesting to see what happens to that provision. Nokia has $100 million in infringment provisions, kind of strange to describe it as an infringment provision when they up to date have not agreed upon a royalty rate, how can one infringe when no rate has been set, the correct accounting treatment would be accruals.
