Marshall & company had to know from day one that getting US patents was a long shot at best.
Unless their patent attorneys are completely inept they had to know the odds and the resistance they would face. Yet they went ahead and bet the farm on the US market, putting on the back burner other markets where they stood a better chance of success.
And it looks like they are just going to continue to sit on their thumbs with their fingers crossed.
