Take your rants to the Intel board (I hate rants) where they might do some good. Those on this board (and the Intel board) pretty much call it as they see it.

Intel invented the architecture, AMD copied it. Intel does a great job marketing what is otherwise common knowledge. They also spend $$ in the right places for marketing and developing resouces that make products successful. They are also in the front of the market and make decisions in directions that are unknown at the time. And that's what it takes.

AMD does great with what is left of the market. Either they will be successful in this (maybe the last cycle) or they won't. Better companies have failed, and worse have succeeded. Time will tell, we are all waiting. (I hate rants).
