You see value in commons- would be the message.
you probably do you message harm with you compare price per share as an ivestment decisions-- Common pps is derived but from the percieved valued dived by # of outstanding shares. The Value could be exactly the same and the outstanding shares change and your ratio of pps to pfds would move.

Also your value goal is on the trade- not investment. so your goals are not in aligment with the investors of pfd shares.
Basically you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
