Andrew I am going to have to break up your questions, I will put your questions in italics:

ME: don't understand what .035 X .04 means. AMTO is an abbreviation of the company. high of .15 means that is the highest it ever was and the approximate gain of 375% means that is the most that it ever gained from the very lowest to the very highest. I don't understand why it says approximate gain though. Why would it not be "exact gain of ...."
Them: *AMTO .035X.04 High of .15 Approximate gain of 375%

.035 x .04 is the amount the stock is trading for. .035 is the bid (what you can sell the stock for) and .04 is the ask (what you can buy the stock for) "the asking price"

AMTO is not considered an abbreviation, its considered "the ticker symbol" sort of an abbreviation but not exactly. The SEC (securities and exchange commission) gives each publically traded company a symbol to trade under. An example would be MacDonalds trades under the ticker symbol MCD. Google trades under the symbol goog.

On a board like rigs, everyone is highly educated traders, so when your talking about highs and lows percent gains and things like that there is no need to be exact, it could have been like a 376.5 % gain.... 375% gain is not necessarily the highest gain its ever had, but just the time set they are looking at 6 months 1 yr 2 yrs, most of the time on rigs board they usually only look back 6-12 months or so. sometimes longer.
