I still don't like the idea of Intel becoming a device manufacturer.

I really hope(and think) Intel and the manufacturers can do it. The Gen "2.5" Ultrabooks featuring Touch and Convertible features are showing an improvement in almost every way - from reliability, functionality, and even the ads are better.

If Q4 does turn out to be a really good quarter for Intel, my advice for them.

-Don't be complacent
-Treat your customers well so in hard times, they'll come back to you


For Ultrabooks. I think rather than only having a 24/32GB SSD cache + 320-500GB HDD option and a pure SSD one, there should be a in-between model with 64GB SSD cache and 320-500GB HDD. Caching would become more effective and the capacities will be greater. Without the pricing being too high with pure SSD setups, and performance being lot more unreliable with cached HDD ones.
