Statements by AMD that there is "a lot of choice for consumers and IT managers" desiring Opteron systems is the opposite of what AMD is saying in their antitrust law suit. AMD will have great difficulty asserting in its law suit that Intel is foreclosing choice and then asserting that there is a "lot of choice".

AMD seems to take the position that it must succeed in every attempt with every OEM or Intel is playing unfair. The nature of competition is some you lose, some you win. AMD wins with HP, IBM and Sun. It loses the contest with Dell

AMD will not get far asserting that it is entitled to win them all even though end users have "a lot of choice"..
