Another observation. I am told that the $600,000 in legal fees paid by GERS in the last quarter to CC appears to be high for this stage of the litigation -- post Markman, prior to trial. I have also been told that some of these law firms in the East are very protective of their billings and retainers, in other words, "no ticky no washy". It seems clear to me that GERS cannot afford to continue to pay fees at that rate and may be what KK was telling us in the Q1 when he stated that there was a new fee structure. It does seem truly unusual at this late stage for the fees to be $50,000 a month PLUS a non-stated negotiated contingency fee that could range from 20% to 60% of what is awarded. Is it possible that there is tension between GERS and CC over fees? Could this have led to the obvious delay in responding to the motion for a summary judgement that you note (in post #29567)? That would be the ultimate leverage that CC has in insuring that the account is "up-to-date".
