BioteQ to Present Workshop and Technical Paper at ICARD Conference

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/16/12 -- BioteQ Environmental Technologies Inc. (TSX:BQE), a leader in the treatment of industrial waste water, will present a short course workshop and a technical paper at the International Conference on Acid Rock Drainage (ICARD), a conference held every four years focused on prediction, prevention, mitigation, and remediation of acid rock drainage in the mining industry. The conference is attended by mining and engineering professionals from around the world. This year's conference takes place May 21 to 26 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Ottawa. BioteQ staff will be present at exhibit booth #16 at the conference.

WHAT: Workshop entitled "Sustainable Water Treatment Technologies for the Treatment of Acid Mine Drainage" and presentation of a technical paper entitled "Sulphide Precipitation and Ion Exchange Technologies to Treat Acid Mine Drainage" in the Drainage Collection and Treatment technical session of ICARD

WHEN: The short course workshop is on Monday, May 21, 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. The technical paper will be presented Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 am.
