Regarding the first chart, volume without pps appreciation suggests either dilution, a growing float, or one heckuva lotta people bailing at/near bottom.

The second chart paints a bit of a different picture though. Overall volumes have not increased, suggesting the o/s has not changed much. Quite possible that alot of the volume from the last 1-2 weeks was Short. If so, there could be some very interesting moves here. A 3M-5M day would certainly put the squeeze on.

Have you checked the RegSHO list to see what the short counts were for last week? I might venture to say they were probably unusually high.
