Granite Construction Incorporated (Granite) is a diversified heavy civil contractor and construction materials producer in the United States. The Company’s segments include Construction, Large Project Construction and Construction Materials. The Company also operates a real estate investment and development business. Granite serves both public and private sector clients. Within the public sector, it primarily concentrates on heavy-civil infrastructure projects, including the construction of roads, highways, mass transit facilities, airport infrastructure, bridges, dams and canals. Within the private sector, Granite performs site preparation and infrastructure services for residential development, commercial and industrial buildings, and other facilities. It owns and leases reserves and owns a number of construction materials processing plants. Granite also has contractor-owned heavy construction equipment fleets in the United States.
