DABOSS ... RE: Eclipse Unit ...

The unit is ... "Controlled by the indash Eclipse radio, and Ecom Voice recognition system." ... That doesn`t sound like our VoiceNav and there`s no mention of wireless protocol [not really needed in that the drive/MP3 player is removable and USB 2.0 compatible], but not too bad for this first generation device, don`t you think ? I don`t believe Fujitsu Ten would go ahead with this audio component if the market didn`t already exist, so the only question that remains is, how successful will they be in penetrating it ? Also, the way RP explained it to me, this is just the first step with e.Digital assisting Fujitsu Ten down the "path" on their way to eventually becoming an "OEM" for future factory-installed Infotainment and Telematics products.

It`s now my understanding that Fujitsu Ten utilizes Prounounced Technologies` voice navigation product.
