Ironically the same thing happened to me. I was using my garmin GPS to help me find a client location, and all of a sudden the GPS was flaking out and directing me towards Mexico. i think someone highjacked my GPS and was trying to get me to cross the border unknowingly. had i made it they probably would have forced me to smuggle drugs back across international borders. that could have ended up bad.
