It may be better for current investors if the deal is announced in January.

I don't know how the world of institutional investors works, but in corporations, their budgets are already fixed and they're either cutting all spending or trying to dump whatever remains in their budgets.

Most retail investors are now thinking about Xmas presents for their families.
