The 'objective' appraisal of the technology by the 'geeks' who know it best are quite skeptical so far.

If the claimed technology is a hoax, then how did the principals of RAYSTREAM think they could pull it off without being found out and quite soon at that?!

Are you saying that Brian Petersen was bamboozled by Roman Rumpf and Thomas Friedl into thinking that they had a truly proprietary breakthrough that ended up being nothing more than a polished up version of x264?

You are going out on a long limb here, but this particular theory allows for one scenario whereby Brian Petersen and his people may have been completely duped and now that the alleged fraud has been exposed, there would necessarily be some pretty intense infighting between Roman Rumpf, Thomas Friedl, Brian Petersen, and others.

And any new contracts would be on definite hold.

This 'algorithm' may have ended up being a RUMPFalrithm designed to be an elaborate scam that was exposed before the perpetrators could pump the stock high enough and then get out of Dodge.

We are definitely in an era of desperate greed, but I have a hard time buying into the plausability of this particular negative scenario. How could they have been so fraudulently brazen in the face of being found out and quickly?!

There is the strong possibility that they truly have something legitimate and proprietary that is difficult to divulge completely because it needs to be carefully protected.

Only time and the GEEK SQUAD CHALLENGE will tell.
