So I have question maybe some of you smarter people could answer. Remember, I'm a new to investing so don't use to many big words, haha!
So obviously the main things you want to look in a company are these big numbers right? And please, correct me if I'm wrong.
Revenue: Any money they made, down to every nickel and dime.
Operating Income: I'm lost with this one...
Net Income: This is the revenue number after taxes, debts paid and operating cost right? Anything I'm missing?
Total Assets: This would be the equipment, buildings, and what else?
Total Equity: What the company would owe if every share was sold at once?
Examples of each would be helpful, I'm lost at the moment when it comes to this sort of thing. That and I tried to read ESPI's 10-K and 10-Q. All I saw were big $ signs and ? marks, haha. So for in ESPI's case, where would you find their Revenue, Opp. and Net Income, Total Assets and Equity?
Also how do we find out how many people are employed? Just curious...
Any help or information would be helpful.
Thanks, Gulley
