Tom McCoy is Executive VP, not a legal hired gun.

Tom McCoy is a former Senior Partner in O'Melveny & Myers, the firm representing AMD in the antitrust action. He joined AMD circa 1994 as VP and General Counsel after serving as the lead O'Melveny attorney for AMD in the litigation wars with Intel in the late '80s and early '90s.

McCoy is now a hired legal gun of the in-house variety aka Sr VP Legal Affairs etc.
