My common sense tells me that diurnal temperature swings might not be such a big deal because the gas within is not going to change temperature all that quickly, and the average 12-hour changes from night to day and day to night will result in only minor temperature swings. Secondly, the air ship could contain a compressor and storage tank to compensate for the changes in gas volume involved. grn56
