What makes these devices any better than netbooks? And what makes you think they can be made so cheap, when expensive touchscreens and SSDs are required to get the Metro experience?

LOL my phone is already better in virtually every way than your classic Intel Atom netbook... Screens are screens, drives are drives, but does Intel want to price their chips down where ARM will be?

No. What does iPad have to do with Windows 8, or the ARM-threat to Intel?

Nothing (besides the fact that ARM completely dominates the increasingly popular form factor). So why did you bring up the nonsense about iPad clones in the first place?!?

Yeah, sure. I won't need PhotoShop any more for my professional photo editing, when Win8 FingerPaint becomes available. I'm sure the world can't wait to give up their professional applications for the Fisher-Price "Metro-enhanced" versions of their favorite apps.

Yeah, sure. Everybody is a professional power-user just like "you".

And Metro is somehow touch-only again.

And there's no incentive to develop software for the Metro platform.

And when Photoshop-Metro comes out, there will be no incentive to adopt it.
