VANCOUVER, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Imagis Technologies Inc. ("Imagis") (OTCBB:IGSTF), a leading developer of law enforcement software and biometric systems using advanced facial and image recognition technology, announced today that the City of Brentwood Police Department of Contra Costa County, CA has purchased Imagis' ID-2000(TM) and CABS(TM) systems. The agreement will also see Imagis' CABS system integrated into the Records Management System (RMS) of Data911, one of Imagis' premier business partners for the law enforcement market. The purchase by the Brentwood Police Department further expands Imagis' already extensive presence in California.
ID-2000 is an advanced software system that uses biometric face recognition technology to identify an individual using only a facial photo, video, or artist's composite drawing. Imagis' CABS solution is an integrated offender management system that features traditional arrest and booking functionality with additional, pre-integrated modules that enhance the investigative process. Both systems are easily integrated with Imagis' Integrated Justice System(TM), a regional information sharing solution that facilitates data and image sharing over the internet between disparate databases.
"Our ongoing partnership with Data911 continues to result in significant gains in the California law enforcement and public safety marketplace," said Iain Drummond, President and CEO, Imagis Technologies Inc. "This sale continues the trend we established last year to be a key provider of technology solutions to police agencies across California."
