About H2: No question that it can be a major player in fuel and energy. I've been following its development for years. What I came away with in Crank's paper is that the Cyclone Engine can be become a major and better replacement for current ICE's and new tech like electrical and fuel cell engines -- with virtually no need for change in America's infrastructure, transportation costs of fuels, new technology for storage, etc, and the HUGE costs to manufacturers and consumers. For normal people to afford those cars, the government will have to subsidize selling costs, and that's a hard sell to tax payers right now.

Instead the Cyclone can use existing infrastructure (e.g., no fear of running out of electrical rechargers, etc.), and beyond that can use multiple forms of fuel while reducing pollution and manufacturing costs and therefore costs to consumers.

For me its not that H2 is out of the game so much as not ready -- at least not without billions needed to create an H2 economy of scale.

I just waiting on pins and needles for the Cyclone to make its debut in vehicles. It will be, as a Raytheon news release said, a game changer.
